Check that SCAN1 Drive on Mythen EXP GUI has the correct PV parameter, and the readback is PV OK.

Step 2: Set up the temperature scan profile

  1. Set Scan Mode on Mythen EXP GUI as Table mode.

  2. Load the CSV file containing the temperature steps in the Table Scan section on Mythen EXP GUI.

  3. Check that the temperature profile is plotted in Scan 1 Table Profile on the bottom left of the GUI.

  4. Use a Pos. Settling Time if you require a settling time (in second) for temperature stabilisation before a data collection, check that the readback is correct.

Step 3: Starting a scan

  1. It's recommended to change the setpoint of temperature environment to a value that's different from the first temperature step in the table. This parameter can be used to verify that the data collection sequence is working after starting the scan. For cryostream, you need to click Start Ramp to start ramping after changing Setpoint temp. Changing Setpoint temp. doesn't initiate the ramp.

  2. To start a scan, click START Acquisition button on Mythen EXP GUI.

  3. Check that temperature setpoint updates to the first temperature step in the table.

Stopping a scan

  1. Click STOP Acquisition button 3 times on Mythen EXP GUI.

  2. For Eurotherm, Furnace, and Cryostat, click Abort Seq on the Overview GUI.

  3. Click Clear Scan on the Mythen GUI to make sure the scan sequence exits cleanly.
