Robot mounting and user interface

The robot interface is a web page that is accessed through the pypanel robotic arm icon. Across the top there are tabs:

  • Mount: controls the robot to mount and prefetch samples.

  • Sample Centering: sample camera and click to centre for mounted samples.

  • Staff: the tab for inspection, calibration and probing controls, only available after staff sign in.

  • Log: robot log of actions.

If you are using the robot to mount samples, staff will add your samples to the robot dewar and probe them before your experiment starts. Probing essentially involves the robot testing that it can correctly pull out each sample pin. Samples must be probed before they can be mounted.
