Detector limits and detectivities

We have four types of detectors commonly available for use:

• A “narrow-band” mercury cadmium telluride (MCT) from Bruker (MCT-D313)

  • Cut-off 750 cm^-1

• A “mid-band” MCT from Bruker (MCT-D316)

  • Cut-off 600 cm^-1

• A “wide-band” MCT from Bruker (MCT-D315)

  • Cut-off 420 cm^-1

• A focal plane array (64 × 64)

Unless otherwise requested, the standard configuration of the beamline uses the narrow band MCT detector.
