Animals/ tissues/ cells/ fluid

 

 

Bacteria

If bringing live bacteria onsite, please consult with the Laboratory Team. Bacteria can contaminate some equipment but Users have carried out bacterial culture onsite in select areas.

Experimental work to be carried out in PC2 Laboratory.

Experimental Animals

For any live animal experiments, consult with our Veterinary Scientist (contact IMBL) and the Laboratory Team.

 

Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs)

OGTR certified (for GM) labs onsite include some IMBL labs.

Under Commonwealth legislation, certain dealings with genetically modified organisms (GMOs) are required to be approved and registered with the OGTR. They may also need to be conducted in OGTR certified facilities. Hazardous Proteins/ Peptides/ Prions

Intact pathogenic prions are not permitted onsite Clayton.

 

Human Tissues/ Cells/ Fluids

 

 

Quarantine Material

There are no Approved Arrangement (Quarantine) facilities onsite.

 

Virus

Live pathogenic viruses are not permitted onsite Clayton.

 

Zoonotic (infectious) agents
