Bringing Samples Chemicals or Equipment Onsite
In order to maintain a safe workplace the Australian Synchrotron requires that all samples, chemicals or electrical equipment (excluding laptops and phones) are pre-approved for use on site via the Experiment Authorisation (EA) form.
For detailed information about how best to bring samples/reagents etc. to site, see: Bringing Samples, Chemicals or Equipment Onsite - https://www.ansto.gov.au/media/2449
The Australian Synchrotron is also able to assist Australian and New Zealand based synchrotron users to send samples in dry shippers (dewars) for remote access experiments at the MX beamlines.
You must include all samples, chemicals and equipment you will bring with you or use at the Synchrotron in your EA for approval.
Samples/reagents and equipment which have not been declared will not be allowed onsite and may cause your beamtime to be delayed or cancelled.
Unless by prior arrangement, all samples and stock reagents must be removed from site by the user group at the conclusion of the experiment.
