There are three inductions that need to occur before you can fly solo at the beamline:

  1. General facility induction completed online through the Portal before arriving at the synchrotron for your beamtime

  2. A beamline specific induction conducted by the supporting beamline scientist at the beginning of your beamtime

  3. (Optional) Inductions into laboratory spaces (e.g. chemistry, PC2) as indicated on your proposal and Experimental Authorisation (EA)

    1. Inductions performed by Clare Scott

    2. Normally held at 9:30am each morning*

*COVID-19 has impacted this norm. Instructions to organise laboratory inductions will be provided upon notification of successful beamtime and completion of EA.
