Data collection

Step 0: Mount sample

Before you collect any data, first you need to mount you sample.

See Samples and Hardware at MX for instructions about:

Step 1: Rastering

If you can’t find your crystal on the loop, use Rastering to find it by diffraction. Skip this step if you can see your crystal.

Step 2: Screening

Collect a small wedge of data to see if the crystals are worth collecting, instructions: Screening

Step 3: Strategy

Use the results from screening to calculate the optimum Strategy for your collection.

Step 4: Collect dataset

Collect your perfect and beautiful Dataset

Data Processing

Once your data has been collected, it is time for processing. Data Processing includes:

• Visualising live results

• Viewing detailed results of data processing

• Data analysis and processing - CX

• Retriggering - PX

• Retriggering - CX

• XDS

• xdsme
