Please review the following SOPs for MEX2 before your beamtime. These SOPs will guide you through changing sample rulers when running under “vacuum”, venting the user chamber at MEX2, and operating the software.

We have recently introduced a fantastic feature for running a batch of scans through the Queue, making it easier to scan multiple edges on the same sample. Since August 2024, users have been benefiting from this option. You can find the relevant instructions in the following document:

The notes below are instructions for running samples under “Helium”.

This document explains “HOW TO SET UP” the system so that users can run it and exchange samples in a helium atmosphere. It is NOT a set of operating instructions for users when working under helium; those instructions are provided in a separate guidance document below.
