Why should I do the User Survey?

This survey should be done at the end of your experiment and reflect the success and insuccesses you had during your experiment. We are particularly interested in how the beamline performed, in terms of the software, hardware and X-ray beam. The results are used to allocate resources for fixing problems or improving aspects of the beamline user experience. Your feedback is very important because it calls attention to issues which staff may not have noticed. If you don’t tell us, we won’t know it is a problem.

How do I fill out the User Survey?

Please fill out the beamline and the Synchrotron surveys.

MX -  http://survey.synchrotron.org.au/mx/beamlines/ (you may need to logout of your gmail account first)

AS -  http://survey.synchrotron.org.au/

Where do my answers go?

The results to the beamline User Survey are reviewed weekly by beamline staff and any issues they raise are discussed. We try to accommodate all requests, suggestions and criticisms. We do not provide individual answers, and if you have a specific issue which you would like to raise, please email as-mx@ansto.gov.au or the beamline scientist who was on user support on the day of your experiment.

Who should fill out a User Survey?

Every person who carries out an experiment on the MX beamlines. This includes remote users, and users who only came for a short shift. This is the best way to raise any issues which became apparent during your shift or were particular to your research.
