*Use must be discussed in advance of EA submission with beamline scientists and lab staff.
Requires booking in advance (>4 weeks).

Use of this lab in advance of or post-beamtime site allowance (more than 2 days) will require an extended access lab EA
Tissue Culture Lab entry requirements:
Valid online lab induction PLUS
Valid onsite chemistry lab induction PLUS

Cell Waste treated with antibiotics
Any liquid waste containing antibiotics should be decanted into the designated waste bottles for autoclaving (denaturing) and then once cooled, flushed down the sink with water.
Waste for autoclave cannot contain bleach or large amounts of alcohol-based solvents. Ensure waste label is filled out with contents.
Any liquid waste that has not been treated with antibiotics can have bleach added to denature and once >15mins has elapsed, flushed down the sink with water.
Ask lab staff for assistance if unsure.
Samples/packaging/chemicals brought onsite must be removed from this lab and returned to your home institute following the conclusion of lab use.
Minor waste (e.g. paper towel) can be disposed of in the clinical waste bin near the door, serological pipette tips must go in designated bins provided. All sharp items must go in a sharps container.
Some dedicated liquid waste containers can be provided (e.g. formalin; crystal violet etc.) but must be discussed prior to EA approval.
Ask lab staff for assistance if unsure.
Autoclaving is available if sterilization (e.g. tips) is required - include in your EA, additional training is required.
