Sample Upload

Samples can be uploaded to MXPrism (https://mx-prism.mx3.beamline.synchrotron.org.au/ ) from a csv file (see template and example).

Logging in to MXPrism

You can log in to MXPrism at any time if you have been added to an experiment authorisation form as an MX3 user. If you haven’t already, you will need to set up multifactor authenication (see remote access page).

Sample Management

In the “Samples” tab of MXPrism, select the date of your experiment. From here, you can add your dewar and upload your sample spreadsheet.

Sample names must be unique for each experiment (every EPN) and are grouped into projects for a new and easier method for managing your data across experiments. If you tick the ‘auto-correct errors’ box, files names will be automatically given a suffix to ensure they are unique, and projects will be automatically created.

IMPORTANT

Only include samples that exist. Do not include empty rows or blanks for empty ports.
