Preparing for remote beamline access
It is highly recommended to have:
Two (or more) monitors. Controlling a beamline is difficult on a laptop or small screen.
A good internet connection.
A good knowledge of where you are in the schedule of users for your beamtime, and a system for recording your results.
Logging on remotely
Browse to https://aswebmx.synchrotron.org.au/menu/ and select the beamline you are using
Sign in to aswebmx:
Username: mxuser
Password: 2020userMX
Sign in to Guacamole:
Credentials will be provided the “Beamline ready for experiment” email, which will be sent to you when the beamline is ready.

Lost connection to guacamole:
Guacamole connection sometimes drops due to bad connectivity between the synchrotron network and your network. Most of the time a internet browser refresh fixes the problem and no re-authentication is required. We have reports that recent versions of Google Chrome are worse and can show this behaviour every 30 seconds. Using Mozilla Firefox does stay connected for hours. Other browsers have not been tried (Internet Explorer, Safari, other).
If the problem persists, you can also log out and log back in.
