Part 1: Laser and Detector Set up

1. Move the detector out of the way along the rail

2. Put the DAC into clamp on the XYZ stage and tighten the thumb screw

3. Plug spectrometer into laptop via USB

4. Slide the detector back along the rail so that it is sitting against the opening of the DAC

5. Turn the key on the laser PSS to Auto

6. Lock up the hutch

Part 2: Take fluorescence measurement

Note: This should only need to be done once at the start of the day, unless you want to change the integration time or number of scans to average

1. Open OceanView on the laptop

2. Select Spectroscopy Application Wizard

3. Select  Fluorescence

4. Click Next to select Active Acquisition

5. Change Scans to Average to 10 and click Next

6.  Tick the box for Add clean peaks to schematic

7. Turn off the lights in the room or put the box over the laser setup

8. Click the big lightbulb icon at the top to store the dark spectrum

9. Click Finish
